Channay Ki Daal Ka Halwa


Ingredients:

Gram Lentil (soaked for 6 hours) ½ kg
Sugar ½ kg
Ghee 1- ½ cup
Milk 1 kg
Crushed Cardamom 4
Crushed Green Cardamom 1tsp
Khoya ½ cup
Peeled and slices almonds 3 tbsp
Pistachios 3 tbsp
Yellow food color 1 pinch
Silver Paper As required

Cooking Method:

Boil ½ kg soaked Gram Lentil in 1 kg milk until it is soft and milk has evaporated.
Now cool it and grind it.
Heat ½ cup ghee and add 4 crushed green cardamom and fold grinded gram lentil. Now fry it properly for 30 minutes until it turns light brown.
Now add ½ kg sugar and continue cooking.
When the consistency is thinner, then fry it properly until the oil separates.
Now add ½ cup Khoya and fry it for 10 to 15 minutes more and take it out in the platter.
Now sprinkle 3 tbsp peeled and sliced almonds and 3 tbsp pistachios. Garnish with silver paper and cut into squares.
